2 killed, 28 injured in Lahore shrine blast

At least two people were killed and 28 injured in a bomb blast near Baba Haider Saeen Darbar near Lahore Station on Thursday night. The incident occurred at the second day of the three-day urs of the saint. A higher number of devotees visit the shrine on Thursdays. Explosive material was hurled from a truck due to which blast was occurred and people got feared. Zulfikar Jutt and Azhar Fareed were killed and 23 people including a police constable sustained injuries. Police cordoned off the area and rescue teams started relief activities. The injured were shifted to Meo Hospital. The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) immediately reached the spot and cleared the adjoining areas. According to the squad personnel, high explosive material was used in the blast.
