LAHORE (Dunya News) - Rain, hailstorm accompanied with cool breeze lowered the temperature in Punjab, Khyber Pkahtunkhwa, FATA and Gilgit Baltistan providing much needed relief to the people.

Intermittent rain in Islamabad and Rawalpindi kept the weather pleasant and temperatures low.



Hailstorm and rain in Lahore, Multan, Pakpattan, Attock, Chunian, Patoki, Phool Nagar, Samundari, Peshawar, Hangu, Shangla, Skardu, Sohbatpur and Manga Mandi poised the atmosphere.

Toba Tek Singh received the highest 59 millimetre rain, Mangla 52, Joharabad 49, Sargodha 47, Gujrat 39, Sialkot 33 and Gujranwala 28 so far.



The Met Office has forecast more rain with dust and thunderstorm with hailstorm associated with gusty winds is in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur and Sahiwal, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan divisions, FATA, Quetta and Zhob during the next twelve hours.

Due to heavy rain fall there is a risk of flash flooding and landsliding in some areas of Malakand, Hazara divisions and Kashmir.



Temperature of some major cities recorded on Thursday morning was:

Islamabad 14°C, Lahore 18°C, Karachi 27°C, Peshawar 17°C, Quetta 3°C, Gilgit 9°C, Murree and Muzaffarabad 11°C.

Dadu 46°C, Sh. Benazirabad, Padidan 44°C, Mithi, Chhor, Jacobabad, Moenjodaro 42°C.
