The South African minister called on COAS in GHQ today

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Pakistan and South African have entered agreements on Monday that are aimed at enhancing cooperation in defence sector.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and South Africas Minister of Defence and Military Veterans Affairs, N.N Mapisa Nqakula signed the pact in a ceremony held in the ministry in Islamabad.

Visiting minister stated that the government is desirous of defence cooperation with Pakistan and interested in purchase of JF-17 Thunder jets and Super Mushshak training aircrafts besides joint exercises of troops.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and his South African counterpart agreed to establish joint defence committee for transference of technology.

On the occasion, federal minister Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan is at the forefront in war on terror and that the troops destroyed terror hideouts and rehabilitated displaced families in Pakistan.

Earlier today, the visiting minister called on Chief of the Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa in General Headquarters.



South Africa s Minister of Defence and Military Veterans Affairs, N.N Mapisa Nqakulacalled on General Bajwa and discussed affairs related to defence and security.

Inter-Services Public Relations reported that the visiting minister laid wreath at martyrs’ monument after Pakistan Army presented her with guard of honour.
