Will plant 10,000 trees in Punjab as well, through ISF: Imran
Target of planting 1 billion trees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be complete by December, says Imran
ATTOCK: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has on Sunday said that the party will also plant 10,000 trees in Punjab through its student wing Insaf Students Federation (ISF), reported Dunya News.
Talking to media in Attock, Imran Khan said that the target of planting 1 billion trees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will be complete by December. He added that the locals were doing the plantation work in the mountainous regions and also looking after them, thus providing them with employment in their areas.
Briefing the media, Imran said that Pakistan was the 7th most affected country in the world from global warming and thus it needs to plant as many trees as possible.
Responding to a question about KP Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, Imran Khan said that it was National Accountability Bureau (NAB) that said today it wasn’t taking any action against Asad Qaiser. “I know that the ‘Motu Gang’ is behind the campaign against Asad Qaiser and I hope that Qaiser will go into litigation against them”, he said.
He further said that when he had used the word ‘Phateechar’ during an informal discussion, the media ganged up against him but when Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) legislator Javed Latif used derogatory language against Murad Saeed, they tried to cover it up.
