Radd-ul-Fasaad would help eradicate terrorism in Pakistan

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Ambassador of Russia to Pakistan called on Chief of the Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday in General Headquarters and discussed expansion of defence ties.

Ambassador Alexey Yurevich Dedov agreed with the army chief over expanding defence cooperation. During the meeting, Chief of the Army Staff said that defence ties between two countries would result in positive effects in the region.

“The visiting Ambassador condemned recent terrorist incidents in the country and expressed grief on behalf of his country. He acknowledged Pakistan s efforts in fight against terrorism and initiatives for economic growth,” media cell of the army reported.

The Russia Ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s economic growth and efforts to eliminate terrorism.

He lauded Pakistan Army’s Radd-ul-Fasaad, a security operation across the country to eliminate the ‘residue’ of terrorism left.

He hoped that Radd-ul-Fasaad would help eradicate terrorism in Pakistan.

Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations, Major General Asif Ghafoor Bajwa reported: “COAS thanked the Ambassador for Russian concerns, acknowledgments and ongoing cooperation between the two countries and its Armed Forces. COAS said that enhanced Pakistan-Russia military to military cooperation will have positive impact on regional security.”
