Computerised National Identity Cards (CNIC) and passports of all 35 persons have been put in the block list.

Earlier this week, after Saeed was put under house arrest, supporters of the US-banned JuD threatened to lodge protests across the country and demanded the federal government to reverse the decision.

In a press conference following the development, Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major General Asif Ghafoor said that the action against JuD chief was taken solely by the government.

A media report earlier claimed that the government was warned before Donald J Trump assumed the office as President of the United States of America to take such action.
