Punjab Assembly approved a ban on the cartoons being aired in Pakistan with Hindi dubbing

LAHORE: (Daily Dunya) – Punjab Assembly has on Tuesday passed a resolution demanding ban on cartoons with Hindi dubbing, reported Daily Dunya.

According to details, the session unanimously approved resolutions demanding ban on Hindi dubbed cartoons, giving Muslim students education on Quran with translation in the educational institutions and action against milkmen selling contaminated milk. Moreover, another resolution demanding a change of name of the eye hospital after Mian Shuja ur-Rehman was also approved with majority vote.

On Tuesday, Punjab Assembly member Faiza Mushtaq presented a resolution which demanded a ban on the cable operators on airing Hindi dubbed cartoons from all cartoon networks. The resolution said that these cartoons were ruining the language of the kids. Moreover, it also demanded making Urdu language as compulsory.

Dr Waseem Akhtar’s resolution demanded making education of Quran mandatory in Punjab just like the federal government’s educational institutions. Waris Kallu suggested making the education of Quran compulsory for Muslim students only. The house then approved the amended resolution.

The resolution proposed by Malik Taimoor Masood and Raheela Anwar demanded strong measures against the sale of fake and injurious to health milk throughout the province.
