Senate approves Panama Papers Inquiries Bill 2016
Senators offered Fateha for 48 persons killed in plane crash on Dec 7
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Senate has approved The Panama Papers Inquiries Bill 2016 jointly tabled by the opposition while Companies Law Ordinance presented by the government was rejected on Thursday.
The government was demanded today to bring a bill instead of the ordinance.
Companies Law Ordinance was voted for by 18 members while at least 50 were against the government’s move. Members belonging to the opposition rhetorically asked the reason why the government tabled such an ordinance in hurry.
The opposition claimed that the government was challenging the supremacy of the parliament.
The session in the Senate today offered Fateha for those who lost their lives in a blaze that erupted in a private hotel in Karachi and 48 persons onboard PK-661 flight that crashed on December 7.
