How can you stop govt members from speaking, asks Railways Minister talking to media

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique has on Tuesday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members misbehaved today in the parliament. He said that Imran Khan’s boys came to the parliament only to create raucous. “How can you stop government members from speaking in the assembly”, asked the minister, reported Dunya News.

Talking to media outside parliament after National Assembly session, Saad Rafique said that the only reason behind PTI’s rejoining of the party was to create brouhaha in the parliament. He said that PTI displayed the misbehavious which it is known for. “What kind of democracy do they think it is where the government members aren’t allowed to speak”, he asked.

“I was trying to speak on my turn but PTI started making noise for nothing. They tore off the copies of the agenda. If you have come to the parliament, then come and talk”, he said. Saad Rafique termed Imran Khan a ‘chameleon’ who’d change colour as and when required.

“PTI wanted a commission formed to investigate Panama Leaks issue. Now that it is being formed, they are threatening of boycott. Panama Leaks do not say Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif was involved at all but PM presented himself before the court to keep things transparent”, the minister said.

He said that there was no difference between what PM said in the parliament and what he stated before the court. “He doesn’t do politics of lies, but principles”, he said.

The federal minister said that the government never tried to create any hurdles in the investigation of Panama Leaks and had no issues if it was discussed in the parliament too, but added that the opposition was not ready to discuss the issue.
