KARACHI (Dunya News) – Police on Tuesday is still struggling to discover the cause behind Karachi hotel fire.

They have refused to declare the blaze as accidental till any solid evidence is recovered.

The statements of hotel administration will be recorded today.

Investigation is ongoing by the committee formed in the leadership of Senior Superintendant Police (SSP) South.

It has been revealed through sources that the emergency exits were locked.

The evidence found from the hotel is under chemical examination and will be helpful once its report is finalized.

Police has said that a case will be registered and action will be taken against the culprits in light of concrete evidence gathered from investigation.

At least 12 people were killed when a four-star hotel in Pakistan‘s southern port city of Karachi caught fire early Monday.

Reportedly, 75 people suffered injuries in the blaze, which started in Regent Plaza hotel’s kitchen.
