New conspiracy arises after Rana Mashhood's statement regarding celebrating Basant

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Punjab Minister of Education Rana Mashhood has on Monday said that his statement regarding Basant was misquoted by the media as a new controversy arose after he was reported as saying that Basant had been announced, reported Dunya News.

The whole issue became a controversy when Punjab government spokesperson Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri negated Rana Mashhood’s statement just a few minutes after the announcement.

Earlier, Rana Mashhood, while talking to media at National Hockey Stadium, said announced as member of Basant committee that the kites will be flown soon in Lahore. But as the statement was aired on media, Zaeem Qadri was quick to negate the reports.

However, Punjab government was quick to refute the reports from their Twitter account.

According to Rana Mashhood, Basant was going to be held in Lahore in stages and will be celebrated in specific areas only.

But the question is, why should such a game be allowed at all? If this permission is for specific areas, is there no existence of human species in those areas? Is celebrating Basant dearer to the government than human lives?

Let’s imagine that a code of conduct is made for the string used for flying kites. Who is going to guarantee the implementation of this code? The past is horrific and there’s no guarantee that it won’t be repeated. What’s the point behind going back in time? Is there any benefit in killing the citizens of Lahore just for the sake of fun?
