Waseem Akhtar meets Karachi chief of JI

Any party that hindered development in the city would be dealth with by the people, said the Mayor
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Waseem Akhtar, Mayor of Karachi has met with Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, chief of Karachi chapter of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) as he paid to visit to Idara-e-Noor-e-Haq on Thursday.
While talking to the media afterwards, Akhtar responded to a question about possibility of coalition of MQM and JI for elections by saying that he wished that happens.
However, he warned that any party that hindered development in the city would be dealth with by the people.
On the occasion, leader of JI, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that in case Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief, Dr Farooq Sattar approached him then the discussion would revolve around the pat and the future.
The Mayor of Karachi said that all political parties wanted to work for the betterment of the people and in cooperation with him.
Akhtar asserted that he was not working to polish his politics but would return home and quit his career if failed to deliver.
