Karachi: MQM-P boycotts NA-258 by-election
The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan has boycotted the by-election in NA-258 constituency.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Dr Farooq Sattar-led Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has announced on Monday to boycott November 24 by-election of the National Assembly constituency (NA-258) in Karachi’s Malir district, Dunya News reported.
The decision to boycott NA-258 by-election was taken in a meeting at the party’s makeshift headquarters in PIB Colony. In a statement issued after the meeting, the MQM-P put the blame of their boycott on the Sindh government, claiming that the provincial government will rig the election by using state machinery.
It was further stated that the provincial government was using government resources to get desirable result in the by-election.
