Senior politician, PPP leader Jahangir Badar passes away
PPP general secretary, Jahangir Badar suffered a cardiac arrest and died at the age of 72
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior politician and former general secretary Jahangir Badar passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest on Sunday night. He was also a kidney patient.
Jahangir Badar, who had turned 72 last month, was rushed to a hospital in Lahore but could not regain health.
He was one of the closest companions of former PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto. Jahangir Badar was also former senator and remained Minister for Petroleum & Natural Resources, Housing & works And Science & Technology.
Badar became a member National Assembly from Lahore in 1988.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed his heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of the renowned politician.
The Prime Minister said the contributions of late Jehangir Badar towards strengthening of Pakistani politics would always be held in great esteem.
Nawaz Sharif said Jehangir Badar was a great political asset who believed and worked for the promotion of democratic norms in our country.
Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of PPP leader.
