Ashura processions conclude across country
Several processions were carried out in different cities
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Key processions relating to Youm-e-Ashur have concluded across the country while mourners have now convened gatherings to commemorate the day when Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) among his followers had embraced martyrdom.
Several processions were carried out in different cities including Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Multan, Islamabad, Gujranwala, Sukkur and others.

In Lahore, the main procession emerged in Nisar Haveli area inside Mochi Gate where thousands of sorrowers participated.
The procession culminated at Karbala Gamay Shah in the evening where Majlis-e-Sham-e-Ghariban was convened.
Nearly 121 small and large-scale processions were carried out in Peshawar and other cities of the province and Federally Administered Tribal Areas.
In Mirpur, main processions were taken out from central imambargah.
Tight security arrangements were made and pillion riding still remains banned in some cities whereas mobile services would also remain suspended until late in the night.
