Limits should not be crossed while protesting: PM

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday said that democracy allows citizens to hold protests but limits should not be crossed.
These remarks were given in an apparent response to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s call to shut down Islamabad on October 30. Khan has demanded the Prime Minister to step down or present himself for accountability in the wake of revelations made in Panama Leaks.

Addressing the PMLN’s Central Working Party in Islamabad today, Nawaz Sharif said that these people are trying to paralyze the country through their negative politics.
Referring to PTI’s Azaadi March, Nawaz Sharif said they have failed in 2014 and they will face failure this time as well.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the government is striving to overcome all the challenges including terrorism and energy shortages.
He said economy has been strengthened because of effective policies.
He said Karachi operation was started with the consultation of all the stakeholders’, which is yielding positive results.
By 2018, more than ten thousand megawatt (MW) of electricity will be added to the national grid, he claimed.
Nawaz Sharif said land has been acquired for Diamer Basha Dam and one hundred billion rupees has been released for this purpose.
Nawaz Sharif said Balochistan will be the major beneficiary of the CPEC Project. He said motorways and highways worth one thousand billion rupees are being constructed in the country.
He said we are also working on the social sector development and hospitals in different cities will be built in the next eighteen months.
The Prime Minister stated the government will fully compensate the farmers for the losses they have suffered due to low price of agricultural goods at the international market. He said subsidy is also being given for installation of solar tube wells in Balochistan.
During the meeting, the PML-N leaders have agreed to hold intra-party elections on October 18.
