Pakistan's foreign office spokesperson stated that Pakistan was not officially told by India

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesman, Nafees Zakaria, on Tuesday said that India’s refusal to participate in the 19th SAARC Summit being hosted by Pakistan in Islamabad in November is regrettable.

Nafees Zakaria said that Pakistan noted from the Indian FO spokesperson Vikas Swaroop tweet on the Indian announcement about their refusal to participate in the SAARC Conference. He said that Pakistan has not received any official communication in this regard.

The spokesman further said that Pakistan remains committed to peace and regional cooperation. We will continue to work to that end in the larger interest of the people of this region.

As for the excuse used by India, the world knows that it is India that has been perpetrating and financing terrorism in Pakistan. Public confession by Kulbhushan Yadav, India intelligence agency RAW officer, is a living example besides many other evidences.

Nafees Zakaria further said that it is India which has violated the international law and UN Charter by interfering in the internal matters of Pakistan.
