Former PML-N ticket-holder Brigadier (r) Javed Hasan appointed as consul general in Dubai

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Government of Pakistan has on Friday violated all rules in the appointment of the consul general in Dubai. A former ticket-holder of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Brigadier (r) Javed Hasan has been appointed as consul general in Dubai, reported Dunya News.

According to the rule, a consul general cannot be appointed unless he/she is a member of Pakistan Foreign Services. However, the government made a decision completely unheard of in the country’s history by appointing Brigadier (r) Javed Hasan as consul general in Dubai.

The notification of the appointment has been issued by the government. Brigadier (r) Javed Hasan will be given all the benefits of a Grade-20 officer. He will be provided with residence in Dubai by the government of Pakistan and 75% of the expenses as well. He will also be provided with a car, petrol and driver.
