Summary Imran Khan paid rich tribute to the martyrs of September 6 war with India
KARACHI: (Dunya News, Web Desk) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has on Tuesday announced a march towards Raiwind, where Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif resides, on September 24 in order to get his demands met, reported Dunya News.
Addressing a public meeting in Karachi, Imran Khan said that PM must be brought to the justice and urged the people of Pakistan to come out against the PM for getting their demands met.
Imran said that Karachi was under the rule of a mafia. He added that without the chaos that reigned over the city during the last three decades, Karachi would have been as successful as Dubai today.
The PTI chairman criticised MQM chief Altaf Hussain saying that he was the pioneer of terrorism in Pakistan. “Altaf got people killed in Karachi while sitting in London”, he said.
Recalling his visit to India in 2005, Imran said that he was told by the reporters of Hindustan Times that Indian intelligence agency RAW had made sure Altaf was invited to India and added that Altaf’s posters were also put up throughout the Indian city upon RAW’s orders. He alleged that Altaf got all those in the party murdered who had the guts to rule the party after him.
Imran said that Karachi police had to be improved first on the lines of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police. He said that the government of KP never interfered in the police matters and the result was a better law and order situation in the province. He said that Awami National Party (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali Khan could not even come to Pakistan during his party’s rule due to the fear of terrorism but he now makes speeches, criticising PTI government, while sitting in Peshawar. “Nobody has faith in the police in Punjab and Karachi. Those who took part in the Naseerullah Babar’s operation in Karachi were murdered one-by-one.
“If we get the chance to rule Karachi, we’ll improve the police here to a level that Rangers will not even be required. Moreover, we’ll also introduce here a system of local government on the lines of KP local government act”, said Imran.
Imran Khan said during his speech that all will have to join hands in order to make Nawaz Sharif answerable for his corruption. “Nawaz Sharif’s handpicked National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq blocked the reference against PM on Panama Leaks issue but sent another one against me”, he said. He added that it was impossible for the institutions to improve as long as Nawaz was in power.
Announcing a march towards Raiwind on September 24, PTI Chairman appealed all the Pakistanis to join him. He said that he hoped for justice from the new election commission and Supreme Court but in case he didn’t get it, he’d be left with no options but to take to the roads.
