Amir Liaquat quits MQM, again
Amir Liaquat was earlier detained by Rangers during the night between Monday and Tuesday
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Amir Liaquat Hussain on Tuesday announced that he was quitting MQM once again.
Amir Liaquat’s decision comes a day after MQM was engulfed in controversies following party chief’s controversial remarks on Monday that caused outrage throughout the country.
Amir Liaquat was detained by Rangers during the night between Monday and Tuesday by the Rangers from MQM’s I.I. Chundrigar Road office but was released on Tuesday evening.
He also attended MQM leader Farooq Sattar’s press conference after his release.
He was earlier associated with MQM when he served as the country s Minister of Religious Affairs from 2002 to 2007.
