Occupied Kashmir: Complete shutter down strike observed against Indian oppression
Curfew had been imposed for more than 15 days due to which the valley faced crippling food shortages
SRINAGAR (Dunya News) – The residents of Occupied Valley on Saturday observed complete shutter-down strike against Indian brutality as the death toll of martyred Kashmiris rose to 51 while food availability and famine conditions had worsened due to the curfew imposed for more than 15 days, reported Dunya News.
Tensions flared in Indian-held Kashmir (IHK) after extrajudicial killing of Hurriyat Leader Burhan Wani. The processions continued for many days while one more resident of IHK had been reported martyred by Indian army’s firing after which death toll rose to 51. 5000 women, youth and kids were reported injured.
Curfew had been imposed for more than 15 days due to which the valley faced crippling food shortages and acute malnutrition cases. Hurriyat leaders appealed for complete shutter down strike in the valley which would continue for 2 more days.
