Balochistan's Finance Adviser resigns over Finance Secretary's corruption
Took the decision as my conscience wouldnt have allowed me to continue, says Langove.
QUETTA (Dunya News) – Balochistan Finance Adviser Mir Khalid Langove resigned Friday amidst allegations of corruption against the Finance Secretary of the Province, Mushtaq Ahmed Raisani. Langove stated that he had taken the decision as his conscience wouldn’t have allowed him to continue.
Addressing a press conference during which he announced his resignation, the Finance Adviser stated that he had sent his resignation to his party’s leadership.
He further stated that he had complete confidence in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and other departments.
He added that a transparent investigation should be conducted of the case.
Speaking on the occasion, Spokesperson Balochistan government Anwar Kakar stated that the Provincial government will completely assist in the investigation of case.
Langove had been appointed as Finance Adviser 2 and half years ago.
