PM Nawaz reaches Bannu to inaugurate development projects

Nawaz Sharif had distributed health insurance cards among Quetta locals yesterday

BANNU (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has reached Khyber Pakhtunkhwas (KP) Bannu district to inaugurate different development projects, Dunya News reported Tuesday.

Prime Minister House stated that the Nawaz Sharif will pay a visit to Bannu and address a gathering besides inaugurating different projects. Announcement of a development package is likely by the Prime Minister on the occasion. PM Nawaz will hold meeting with party’s local leaders and members of the Parliament.


PM Nawaz lands in Bannu


The House stated that the Prime Minister will perform ground breaking of four highways. PM Nawaz will also lay foundation stone of a gas project that will ensure supply to five union councils (UCs). The project will complete in a year costing around Rs 259 million, according to the government.

Former governor Sardar Mehtab, Governor Iqbal Zaffar Jhagra, Special Assistant to PM, Asif Kirmani and provincial president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Pir Sabir Shah will accompany the Prime Minister.

Earlier on Monday, the Prime Minister visited Quetta and inaugurated different development projects.

Talking at the ceremony, PM Nawaz had said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s government has made the country free of corruption and crisis.

He expressed resolve to promote transparent political culture in the country.

PM Nawaz said that work was rapidly underway to ensure early installation of energy-related projects. He said that political stability was vital for provision of better health facilities, education, and attracting foreign investment.

Nawaz Sharif also distributed health insurance cards among the locals.

On the other hand, the projects including supply of gas to Inayatullah Karez Gulistan, Mastung, Kalat and adjoining areas as well as laying of transmission line from Loralai to DG Khan were also inaugurated.

He also performed ground breaking of construction of underpasses on Brewery Road at Golimar Chowk and Zarghoon Road.
