Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani proposes gold, silver coins as state currency
25 scholars will present dissertation results with respect to re-circulation of gold, silver
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Scholars’ conference of Islamic Ideology Council (IIC) has started today (April 26) at Islamabad where Chairman Maulana Sherani stated that paper currency is the reason of unsustainable economy of the country, reported Dunya News.
Maulana Sherani emphasised that gold and silver coins’ currency is necessary to revive economy of the country while the public disagrees with the idea preferring paper money as a better medium to trade.
The Islamic Economy Conference headed by Muhammad Khan Sherani will continue for 2 days. More than 25 scholars will present dissertation results with respect to re-circulation of gold and silver coins.
