Rajanpur: Chotu Gang hands back 6 dead bodies, releases 4 injured officers

Four injured officers were also released who have been shifted to the Sheikh Zayed hospital.

RAJANPUR (Dunya News) – An operation, in Rajanpur’s area of Kacha Jamal, against the notorious Chotu Gang suffered a disastrous failure as the ill-equipped and untrained officers of the police force became easy targets for the heavily armed gang members. In the latest turn of events, the gang has handed back the bodies of 6 martyred officers including that of the Station House Officer (SHO) to the police while 24 of the officers still remain hostage to the gang members.

According to the details, the dead bodies of the martyred officers, including SHO Hanif Ghauri, Shakeel, Ajmal, Tariq and Aman Ullah, were handed back at the area of Than Patan after the operation was halted and negotiations were held whereas four injured officers were also released who have been shifted to the Sheikh Zayed hospital.

Meanwhile the hostages include Asadullah, Fayyaz, Rehan, Shafiq, Altaf, Munir, Mazhar, Akhtar, Kaleem, Ghulam Dastageer, Elahi Buksh, Rashid, Alamdar, Muhammad Sajjad, Siraj, Naeem, Mujahid, Rafiq, Sadeeq, Liaqat, Abdul Majeed, Iftikhar and Asim.

On the other hand, police have stated that 3 of the suspects have been killed which includes Chotu’s right hand man Pehlu Pathani, Majeed Sakhani and Bugi Bakrani.

Kacha area also contains terrorists fleeing operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan, who now taken refuge in the area. This was also verified by the martyred SHO.

Chotu Gang includes 80 to 100 people who also posses Indian made anti-aircraft guns as well.
