7 police personnel martyred while 24 have been held hostages

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday held an important meeting which included Interior Ministry and senior police officials. CM was briefed on the ongoing operation against ‘Chotu gang’ in Rajanpur, reported Dunya News.

The CM got angry and scolded the officials for presenting false report and failure in operation against the gang.

Shehbaz Sharif questioned that why the police weren’t prepared before, if the department was aware of shortage of weapons? He also said that why elite force was not deployed despite knowing about less number of police officers?

Up until now, Punjab Police have faced failure in operation against Chotu gang with 7 martyred police personnel while 24 have been held hostages. Operation has remained suspended the second day.
