Taseer retrieved through operation by Afghan Taliban

According to credible sources, Taseer's release was made possible by Afghani Taliban's operation

KARACHI (Dunya News) – It has been reported in Dunya News’ programme Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Saath that Shahbaz Taseer was released as a result of action taken by Afghan Taliban against rival terrorist group.

The former Governor Punjab Salman Taseer’s son was kidnapped on August 26, 2011, from Lahore. He was taken to South Waziristan from there, he stayed almost two-and-a-half years there.

After the initiation of Operation Zarb-e-Azb, Taseer was taken to Zabul province of Afghanistan from South Waziristan. After the emergence of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Afghanistan, the group that kidnapped Taseer alleged with the infamous terrorist organisation.

According to reliable sources, Afghan Taliban attacked an ISIS camp in Zabul province killing all men afflilated with the organisation however the 10 women arrested from the spot killed themselves by detonating an explosive.

Taseer was also present in the camp during this incident and was able to flee from there taking advantage of the situation at hand. He was later able to seek refuge in an Afghan Taliban group.

An Afghan Taliban leader helped Taseer in crossing the border and made him reach Kuchlak region near Quetta with safety.

Famous analyst Rahimullah Yusufzai while talking in the program Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Saath stated that the criminals that kidnapped Taseer from Lahore delivered him to South Waziristan’s area Danday Darpa Khel.

After Operation Zarb-e-Azb kicked-off Taseer along with other kidnapped individuals were taken by the terrorists to Afghan province Zabul where the deviant Taliban commander Mansoor Dadallah gave them refuge after they were able to escape from the terrorists’ camp.

Yusufzai futher stated that a ransom of Rs 6 billion along with the release of Mumtaz Qadri and six others imprisoned was conditioned with Taseer’s freedom. However, the Pakistani government and the Taseer family rejected these demands.

Yusufzai added that the attack on the ISIS camp in Zabul was carried out months ago. Mullah Akhtar Mansoor’s supporter Taliban group were against Mansoor Dadullah.

As a result of the Afghan Taliban’s attack on the camp, Dadullah along with his elder brother were also killed.

Yusufzai also said that former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gillani’s son Ali Haider Gillani is also under captivation in Afghanistan. He is under the captivity of a wing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Taliban.
