Dengue spray campaign in Karachi runs out of funds

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Spray campaign in Karachi for the elimination of dengue was postponed on Wednesday as it ran out of funds.
The campaign was to start in the metropolis in the ongoing month but was delayed due to the non-availability of funds from the government.
Malaria Control Programme provided 1800 liter of medicine to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) for dengue spray campaign, which is due to expire in a few months.
However, the vehicle department of KMC has informed the department that the funds provided for the spray campaign has been used, without which it is difficult to carry on the drive.
