CHARSADDA (Dunya News) – As many as nine wounded individuals are receiving treatment at Lady Reading and Charsadda hospitals after the terrorist attack on Bacha Khan University where various political leaders visited on Thursday to show solidarity, Dunya News reported.

According to details, various political leaders including Jamaat Islami chief Sirajul Haq and former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf visited the hospitals and inquired about the health of those wounded.

The wounded persons’ spirits appear to be unmoved. One of those receiving treatment, guard Zakir Ali has said he was the first to respond and resist when the terrorists struck.

Jamaat chief participated in Quran-recitation afterwards. He asked why weren’t adequate security arrangements made when threat was already there.


Raja Pervez Ashraf also visited the patients and couldn’t stop his tears.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders also visited the victims of the attack at the hospital.

The families of Army Public School (APS) martyrs also showed up to show solidarity with the victims of the Charsadda attack.

As many as 21 people were killed and several others were wounded after four gunmen armed with hand grenades among other weapons stormed Bacha Khan University in Charsadda on Wednesday.
