Three vehicles collide in RY Khan, fog reduces visibility to zero on different Punjab roads
The authorities shut down different points of motorways when need be
RAHIM YAR KHAN (Dunya News) – At least three vehicles collided on a highway owing to dense fog while traffic came to halt on national highway in Sadiqabad, Dunya News reported Saturday.
Motorway police have issued advisory in this regard. Several trains at different stations in Punjab also reached their destinations with delays.
Flight operations have been suspended at Multan airport due to near zero visibility.
According to the motorway authorities, national highway from Lodhran to Chunni Goth is blanketed by fog.
Roads in Sahiwal, Dunyapur, Chichawatni, Khanewal, Lodhran, Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar reportedly have near zero visibility. The motorway police have instructed drivers to remain extra vigilant while on road these days and avoid unnecessary travelling.
After the first rains in different parts of Punjab, fog clouds have started to appear. Different points on motorways see standstill traffic at nights and early mornings.
The authorities also shut down different points of motorways when need be.
