ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) anti-encroachment operation got flak from traders resulting in a violent clash in Sector G10.
Window panes of several vehicles were broken as traders stoned the CDA machinery.
CDA initiated operation by removing goods placed outside shops. On the other hand, traders launched protest against the operation. Police and protesters clashed and manhandled one another.
CDA’s trucks and other vehicles got their window panes broken. However, a heavy contingent of police was called to control the situation. The violent clash resulted in postponement of the anti-encroachment operation.
According to the traders, operation was launched without any prior notice.
