ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has on Monday said that some people are using ‘Sindhi’ politics in order to hide their corruption. He said that no institutions or the federal government attacked Sindh, reported Dunya News.

In a statement issued from Islamabad, Chaudhry Nisar lashed out at the Sindh government saying no institution or the federal government attacked Sindh. “It’s just that some politicians are using the politics of ‘Sindh’ and ‘Pakistan’ as a shield”, said Nisar.

Interior Minister said that the people occupying Sindh’s resources are eating up these resources like termites. “Pakistan is the only country where corruption was found even in Hajj and Umra”, he said.

Nisar said that he didn’t need to offer any clarifications about his character but “if I start exposing the character and the 2 and half year performance of the person lecturing me, he’ll be seen hiding his face”, said Nisar.

Chandio said the issue of Rangers’ powers will be resolved by Monday. He said Nisar is only looking at the interests of his party and that should be careful over Rangers’ powers.

He said the Karachi operation will continue and with the consent of the Sindh government.

According to details, the federation and the Sindh government have come on a confrontation course over the matter of Rangers’ authority with regards to the ongoing Karachi operation against the criminal elements.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Chandio complained that the institutions that don’t even have the jurisdiction are interfering in the provincial matters. He said it was the Sindh government that had called the Rangers for the operation.

The Sindh adviser said the Sindh government is neither against the operation nor against Rangers. He said the operation in Karachi will continue and with the consent of the provincial government.

Chandio also said that conditions in Karachi improved because of joint efforts between the police and Rangers, adding that they don’t want to affect the results.
