Asif did not even take the risk of guaranteeing the promise

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif on Thursday said that it can take 4 to 5 years to end electricity load shedding, Dunya News reported.

According to details, the federal minister ridded himself of giving dates over and over again by saying once and for all that ending electricity load shedding can take 4 to 5 years.

Asif did not even take the risk of guaranteeing the promise. Not only did he ruin the dreams of ending of load shedding by the year 2018, he also didn’t care for the promises Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been making.

Talking in the National Water Policy Seminar, Khawaja Asif retracted the government’s previous promises and said that the energy crisis cannot be resolved before next 4-5 years.

Not only did he give a new timeframe, he practically put the blame of this on the people. He said the reason of the energy crisis is lavish spending by the people. He also linked this to water conflict with India.
