Analysts are calling the Indian Foreign Minister’s visit as a highly significant development in the warming of relations between the two countries after tension escalated earlier.

However the stagnation in mutual relations was not broken in a day but instead is a result of long continuous meetings between the two countries preceding the melting of diplomatic ice that had developed and after which Indian Prime (PM) Narendra Modi and his government finally to concede to Pakistan’s strong stance and motives.

The tense build of pressure finally seemed to let up after Indian PM Modi called on PM Nawaz on the sidelines of Climate Summit in Paris that was held earlier this month. A short meeting was held between the two leaders in a ‘friendly atmosphere.’
