Three killed, several injured in road mishaps as fog engulfs parts of Punjab

The authorities have closed Motorway M-3 from Faisalabad due to dense fog.

SHEIKHUPURA (Dunya News) – At least three persons died while twenty others sustained injuries in separate road mishaps as fog gripped parts of Punjab today (Tuesday).

Fog has finally enveloped plains of Punjab, disrupting the flow of traffic. The foggy conditions would continue in various areas including Sheikhupura, Okara, Chishtian, Chiniot and Renala Kurd.



Meanwhile, road mishap left one dead and four wounded in Sheikhupura as seven cars rammed into each other due to intense fog while separately in Renala Khurd, collision of two rickshaws injured four students. The victims were shifted to the hospital for medical assistance.

The authorities have closed Motorway M-3 from Faisalabad for every kind of traffic to avoid any further calamity.

Cold and dry weather is likely to prevail in most parts of the country during next 24 hours, however, cloudy condition is also expected in some cities to welcome the winter season, the Pakistan Meteorological Department reported.
