Explosion near Federal minister for Housing Akram Durrani's convoy cost 2 police officers' lives
BANNU (Dunya News) – Explosion near Federal Minister for Housing Akram Khan Durrani on Thursday cost lives of 2 police officers as the explosive material deployed at roadside went off as the convoy moved past it, reported Dunya News.
According to details, Akram Durrani’s convoy was leaving after a public meeting in Narmi Khel area, is Bakka Khel Police Station’s premises, when the explosive material went off. The explosion completely destroyed a police mobile. Entire area was terrorized by this incident.
Large number of police personnel arrived at the scene immediately after receiving the information. Several people got injured in the incident but Akram Khan Durrani remained safe.
Strongly condemning the attack, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has ordered immediate inquiry into the matter and has expressed grief for the dead.
