Female nursing student's body recovered from Rawalpindi hospital

Investigation has been launched and facts would be brought to light soon, says DSP concerned

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Body of a nursing student on Monday has been recovered from Urology ward of Benazir Bhutto Hospital.

Police are puzzled to determine whether the case is a suicide incident or a murder. Fourth year nursing student’s body has been shifted to district headquarters hospital (DHQ). However, brother of the dead girl said that his sister seemed happy and normal night before on a phone call.

Authorities have said that autopsy might reveal hidden side of the story. Hospital’s MS doctor, Asif Qadri said that none could say anything about the incident until autopsy report is issued.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Azhar said that the case is being investigated and facts would be brought to light soon. Brother of the victim said that authorities are not disclosing the reasons behind the death. 

The nursing student, Andaleeb belonged to Gujar Khan.

Earlier on November 21, a 22-year-old Chawal resident was gang raped and thrown off a three-storey building in Rawalpindi. Police is conducting raids to arrest two suspects in the case while one is under treatment in hospital who was injured at the crime site.
