ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – President Mamnoon Hussain on Friday rejected the mercy pleas of four terrorists convicted in the Army Public School (APS) attack. The rejection of plea appeals of Sabeel alias Yahya son of Attaullah, Abdu Salam son of Shamsi, Hazrat Ali son Awul Baz and Mujeeb-ur-Rehman alias Najeebullah son of Ghulab Jan, was earlier requested by Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif President Hussain.

The military court had earlier in August sentenced the four terrorists to death by hanging for their invovlment in the massacre of 134 children of APS. The establishment of the military courts helped in bringing terrorist plotters to justice with minimum amount of time.

PM stated that Pakistan has changed after the Peshawar tragedy. He said the perpetrators involved in brutal and merciless killing of our children do not deserve any mercy.

The APS attack of December last year further toughened authorities’ stance on dealing with the scourge of militancy.
The death sentence is seen by many as a befitting justice for those who have senselessly spilled the blood of innocents in acts of terrorism.
