Imran Khan divorced Reham via text message, claims British media outlet

(Web Desk) – British media outlet DailyMail on Sunday claimed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan divorced celebrity wife Reham Khan by writing talaq, the Arabic word for divorce, three times in a text message.
The British media outlet’s source claims that despite Reham and Imran’s insistence, the former was kept completely in the dark about the divorce and that she only found out upon landing in Birmingham.
The paper further cited Millionaire businessman Zulfi Bukhari as PTI chief’s close confidant who met Reham at a hotel near Knightsbridge for over three hours to negotiate the divorce settlement, adding that it is still under negotiations.
DailyMail further claimed the reasons for divorce included Reham’s refusal to let Imran Khan’s pet dogs into the bedroom despite his pleas. It says she had redone the Bani Gala palace as per her choice and that her children came and go as they pleased while Imran Khan’s nephews and nieces were made to feel unwelcome.

The divorce settlement of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and ex-wife Reham Khan is worth Rs 8 crore which will be paid to Ms Khan in installments, Dunya News reported.
According to details, a source close to Ms Khan has revealed to Dunya News that the first installment has already been paid to Ms Reham Khan and the remaining amount will also be paid in installments.
Reportedly, the guarantor of the divorce settlement is Imran Khan’s close friend in UAE, Zulfiqar Bukhari who reached United Kingdom (UK) from Pakistan yesterday.
Reham, in her written statement, has denied the reports of financial settlement.

In first important statement after divorce, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s ex-wife Reham Khan on Saturday said she has signed the divorce papers, adding that reports about physical torture are baseless and ridiculous.
In her statement, she said the real reason behind divorce is that their bond had ended and they had decided it with heavy hearts before going to London that they will end their marriage.

She reiterated their private issues will not affect their work. Reham Khan had married PTI chief on January 8 this year and the relationship lasted only 10 months when the couple mutually decided to divorce on October 31st.
