Juj met CM Punjab Shehbaz Sharif and announced to officially join the ruling PML-N party

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The recently elected independent candidate from Okara Riazul Haq Juj has joined Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) after weeks of speculations and poaching by the opposition parties, Dunya News reported.

Juj met Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif on his invitation and announced to officially join the ruling PML-N party.

CM Punjab had invited Juj on breakfast whereas Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) organizer Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar had also met and invited Juj again to join PTI.

The sources said PTI had offered Juj the post of Deputy Organizer Punjab and membership of the core committee but he rejected them.

It merits mentioning here that Juj contested the election for the National Assembly seat in Okara as independent candidate after he was denied a ticket by PML-N and yet managed to grab the victory.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif called Juj after the election to congratulate him and extended the invitation to join the PML-N party.

Juj had thanked PM Nawaz and said the love for PML-N runs in his blood and that he will always prefer it.

Former Governor Punjab and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Chaudhary Sarwar held a meeting with newly-elected MNA Riaz ul Haq Juj in Okara on Monday and invited him to join PTI.

A reliable source has informed Dunya News that Riaz ul Haq was also offered the membership of PTI’s core committee and post of party’s deputy organizer.

On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has also invited Riaz ul Haq Juj on breakfast.

Riaz ul Haq Juj won the NA-144 Okara-II seat in the by election held on Octover 11 as an Independent candidate by securing 83,240 votes against Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PML-N) candidate Ali Arif Chaudhary who grabbed 41,050 votes and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Ashraf Sohna who bagged 7049 votes.
