Summary Case registered against 26 including Abid Sher Ali, MPA Tahir Jamil for murder of the PTI worker
FAISALABAD: (Dunya News) – Slain Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker in Faisalabad has on Sunday been laid to rest while case has been registered against 26 including Federal Minister of State for Water and Power Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Tahir Jamil. Acting quickly, police arrested suspected killers Tariq, Manzoor and Asif in the Samundri Road Firing case, reported Dunya News.
Funeral prayer of the slain PTI worker Mubasher was offered at Samundri Road and was attended by large number of people. Earlier, Mubasher’s family and relatives staged a sit-in at Samundri Road and demanded justice.
On the other hand, the case of the murder has been registered in D-Type Colony Police Station. Sections of murder, attempted murder, firing and terrorism have been added in the FIR.
PML-N and PTI workers clashed with each other again over Mubasher’s death. PTI workers attacked a PML-N office in D-Type Goal Chowk’s UC-9A and destroyed the equipment there. PML-N workers staged protest against PTI and burned tyres. Police arrived at the scene to control the situation and the protesters called off the protest after talks with police.
