Summary Balochistan is seeing target killings and acts of violence since a decade

TURBAT (Dunya News) – Unidentified men on late Monday opened fire at a shop and killed a man.

The criminals absconded the scene after firing. Sources said that armed men opened fire at a fish shop in Tehsil Mand of Turbat district. Resultantly, 65-year-old shop-owner died on the spot.

Levies personnel reached the site after learning about the news and took the body in custody. However, the law enforcers could not gather the reason behind the act.

On the other hand, Frontier Corps (FC) held as many as ten militants in different operations in Harnai, Dera Bugti, Kalat and Kohlu areas on October 26.

According to FC spokesman, five of the detainees were assisting the workers of banned outfit in carrying out terror activities in the province however, the suspects have been shifted to undisclosed for interrogation.

Officials say more than 3,000 militants have been killed since the launch of the latest offensive in tribal areas of Pakistan.

Earlier, personnel of Frontier Corps (FC) and intelligence agencies jointly conducted a raid in Washuk and killed as many as two extremists while four militants were also taken into custody.
