Islamabad: Nisar directs simplifying of passport renewal process
Interior Minister ordered DG Passport to come up with new policy within one month
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has on Sunday ordered further simplifying of passport renewal process. He has ordered DG Passport to come up with new policy in this regard within one month, reported Dunya News.
According to spokesperson for Interior Ministry, Interior Minister took notice of the media reports and directed to simplify the passport renewal process. Spokesperson told that the renewal will be possible from any passport office within Pakistan or abroad.
Previously, the renewal of the passport was possible only from the city of residence according to the National Identity Card (NIC). Spokesperson also praised media’s guidance for the betterment of the systems in government offices and for addressing the problems faced by the public.
