Pakistani singer Ghulam Ali's concert cancelled in Mumbai due to Shiv Sena's threats
Shiv Sena also threatened the show organizer for arranging concert.
MUMBAI (Dunya News) – Extremist Hindu party Shiv Sena on Wednesday threatened to cancel concert in Mumbai featuring legendary Pakistani ghazal singer Ghulam Ali, a deed in which the extremist party suceeded as the authorities caved in, reported Dunya News.
The supporters of Shiv Sena while protesting stated that they don’t want to build any cultural bond with Pakistan. They said that strict action would be taken if Pakistani singer performs in the concert.
The concert which was due on October 9 at Shanmukhanand Hall, has been cancelled.
According to details, Indian Prime Minister Nerender Modi admires Ghulam Ali and has also met him in April this year.
Earlier, Shiv Sena had also protested against the debut of Atif Aslam in Indian film industry.
