Khawaja Ahmad Hassan's appointment as UC-107 Chairman challenged in LHC
The court has summoned appointment notification of the fresh chairman
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Khawaja Ahmad Hassan’s unopposed appointment as Union Council (UC) 107 Chairman on Tuesday has been challenged in the Lahore High Court (LHC).
The court has summoned appointment notification of the fresh chairman.
Petitioner requested the court to annul the appointment as Hassan had served as Lahore Development Authority’s (LDA) vice-chairman so he could not contest the election for two years as he was a public servant.
Justice Shahid Kareem directed the petitioner to attach Hassan’s appointment notification along with the plea.
