Larkana: Nomination papers for local body elections 1st phase submitted

LARKANA: (Dunya News) – Nomination papers filing phase of for the local body elections Phase-I in Sindh has on Friday ended. The local body elections’ first phase is going to be held on October 31, reported Dunya News.
Over 1700 candidates will contest the local body elections in Larkana. According to election commission sources, the Larkana district has been divided into 1 municipal corporation, 47 union councils, 4 town committees and 2 municipal committees. 585,385 citizens will cast their votes in these elections. Over 1700 candidates submitted their nomination papers on the last day.
The scrutiny of the papers will be done from September 12 to 17 while the papers can be challenged from September 18 to 22. The decisions on the complaints will be given between September 22 and 30 while the final list of the candidates will be released on October 12.
