President approves Justice Jawad S Khawaja as next CJ
Justice Jawad S Khawaja will take charge as Chief Justice from August 17
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday approved Justice Jawad S Khawaja’s appointment as new Chief Justice with effect from August 17 after retirement of Justice Nasirul Mulk, Dunya News reported.
Justice Jawad S Khawaja will take charge as Chief Justice from August 17.
According to details, Justice Nasirul Mulk is set to retire on August 16 after completing his tenure. The Prime Minister had sent the Law Ministry’s summary to the President for approval.
The President approved the summary paving way for Justice Jawad S Khawaja to be the next Chief Justice of Pakistan.
It merits mentioning here that Justice Khawaja is the senior most judge in the ranks after Justice Mulk’s retirement.
