163 Indian fishermen released from Malir Jail Karachi

Indian fishermen were detained 10 months ago on violation of maritime boundaries.

MALIR (Dunya News) – Atleast 163 Indian fishermen have been released from District Jail Malir today (Sunday), Dunya News reported.

According to sources, the government of Pakistan, out of goodwill, took the decision to release Indian fishermen from captivity.

Among the released fishermen eight were Muslims whereas three were minors.

The fishermen were sent to Cantt railway station in bus and will be handed over to Indian authorities on Wagha border.

It is pertinent to mention here that Indian fishermen were detained 10 months ago on violation of maritime boundaries.
