Electricity shortfall increases to 4,500 MW
Increased power outages are being conducted due to line losses and theft, say ministry sources
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Electricity shortfall on Monday has reported to have reached at least 4,500 Mega Watt (MW) leading to increased hours of outages countrywide.
At least 12-hour long outages are being carried out in rural while eight-hour long in urban areas.
The shortfall has been increased by 500 MW causing the total of 4,500 MW. In 2014, the shortfall maintained at 4,000 MW.
According to Water and Power ministry sources, increased power outages are being conducted due to line losses and theft.
