FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – 25-year-old Indian girl escaped from the home of her Pakistani husband on Wednesday in Faisalabad. Zahra Mariam married Qaiser Bilal after falling in love with him over the social website Facebook.

Qaiser is a school teacher in Faisalabad. The couple met at Wagha Border for the first time and afterwards got married with the consent of both the families. Zahra’s family visited Pakistan where the couple got married but just after 3 months of marriage, Qaiser and his family took away all the gold and money owned by the girl and tortured her as well.

According to the details, Qaiser’s family locked her in a room after torturing her. Zahra called rescue police and was freed and transferred to Sahinwala police station by the rescue police team. Zahra was presented in front of the Civil Judge on Wednesday. Court ordered to carry out her medical tests and present her in front of the court of Special Judicial Magistrate afterwards. Special Judicial Magistrate sent Zahra to Darul Aman.
